CV Wilhem Pertot

  • Dr. Wilhelm-Joseph Pertot graduated from Saint-Joseph University Dental School, Beirut, in 1988. In 1989, he earned a Certificate in the Biology of Oral Structures from Marseille Dental School, followed by a Master in Endodontics and a Diplôme d’Études Approfondies in 1991. In 1996, he obtained a PhD from Marseille Dental School for his research on growth factors and bone healing.

  • Dr. Pertot was nominated Assistant Professor in 1991 and promoted Senior Lecturer in 1994. Between 1992 and 1998, he served as Co-Director of the Graduate Program in Endodontics at Marseille Dental School. He was also a visiting academic at the Warwick Postgraduate Program (UK) from 2012 to 2015. Currently, he lectures at the Postgraduate Program of Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid) and serves as a Clinical Teacher in the European Endodontic Program at Paris 7 University.

  • Dr. Pertot has authored over 60 scientific publications in French and international journals and has delivered more than 600 lectures and hands-on courses at international congresses and dental schools, addressing both specialists and general dentists.

  • He is also one of the co-designers of the reciprocating WaveOne Gold system and has published three books:
    - Success in Endodontic Treatment – W.J. Pertot, S. Simon; Quintessence International Eds, Paris, 2003
    - Success in Endodontic Retreatment – S. Simon, W.J. Pertot; Quintessence International Eds, Paris, 2006 (translated into English, Spanish, and Portuguese)
    - Endodontics – S. Simon, P. Machtou, W.J. Pertot; CdP Eds, Paris, 2021

  • Dr. Pertot maintains a private practice limited to Endodontics in Paris.
